Vacationing on Kaua'i there is no better way to see the island than by helicopter. We opted for the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
Eco-tour, because it is flown with the EcoStar, the Eurocopter EC-130B4. Huge windows allow for a nearly unobstructed view to all
sides. Some pictures of the Lihue airport heli-pad and the actual views from the chopper are below.

Arrival of "our" 'copter. Refueling is done before every flight. The pilot stays in his seat and the engine keeps running

The entire flight is recorded, one camera in the cabin and three outside the aircraft. Afterwards you can buy the DVD that's made from the flight to relive it over and over

Banking to the right from the helipad over the Lihue terminal with two Hawaiian 717's at the gates. The gate on the left is for United Airlines and above that the stored Douglas A-4 can be seen

After we disembarked the whole thing starts all over again. Refueling, loading the pax, etc. Luckily the sun came out by this time

And off again with another six people from who knows where. They also are going to be thrilled, and with great memories upon their return
